Croatia inflation accelerates to 4.9 percent in November
Croatia experienced its third consecutive month of accelerating inflation, with the annual rate reaching 4.9 percent in November 2026, according to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS). The increase was primarily driven by energy costs, which rose by 20.7 percent compared to the previous year, and services, which saw a 7.5 percent increase.
Finance Minister Tomislav Ćorić noted that while energy price shocks have significantly impacted the index, inflation in other segments remains under control. He predicted a rapid decline in inflation throughout 2027, suggesting that without the energy price surge, the rate would already be below 2 percent.
In contrast, food, beverages, and tobacco prices remained relatively stable, showing a marginal annual increase of 0.2 percent. Meanwhile, industrial non-food products, excluding energy, saw a price decrease of 1.1 percent.
