Kometa Brno advances to Dolomiten Cup final after defeating Augsburg

Kometa Brno secured a spot in the Dolomiten Cup final after defeating the Augsburger Panther 3-2 in Neumarkt. The Czech team took an early lead through Luke Witkowski in the first minute, followed by a second-period goal from Arttu Ilomaki and a third from Kristian Pospisil.

Augsburg responded with goals from Enrico Henriquez-Morales and Cameron Wright. The match was marked by physical play and multiple altercations, including a confrontation following Wright’s goal that led to several penalties. Despite the intensity, the Panthers were unable to overcome the Czech side, who appeared more prepared due to longer training periods.

The final is scheduled for Sunday, where the winner of the Kometa Brno vs. Augsburger Panther match will face the winner of the semifinal between Eisbären Berlin and EV Zug.
