Koźmin Wielkopolski hosts Patron Saint Festival with concerts and culinary contests
On August 8‑9 2026, Koźmin Wielkopolski in western Poland will celebrate the Patron Saint Festival honoring St. Lawrence. The two‑day program includes a regional culinary competition, performances by local bands such as Kapela znad Orli and Kapela Piaskowianie, inflatable castles for children, and stalls showcasing regional products. A highlight on Saturday is a concert by over 300 singers from the Wielkopolska Choirs performing maritime hymns, followed by a solemn mass and a communal feast featuring bigos, coffee and cake, ending with choral karaoke. Sunday continues with the 24th Imieniny GZiKa, offering a free tasting of the traditional gzika, additional concerts and dancing.
The event is organized by the local Women's Circle (KGW) and aims to draw residents and visitors from across the region to celebrate local traditions, music and cuisine.
