Komotini, Greece Quells Two Simultaneous Fires Near City Outskirts

Two fires broke out within minutes of each other near the eastern exit of Komotini, Greece. The first ignited on a vacant lot opposite the Labor Housing area, and the second started in a reed‑filled field near the village of Roditis, opposite the private clinic "Agia Marina".

The Komotini Fire Service responded with seven water‑truck units, about 20 firefighters and a JCB excavator, supported by the Greek Rescue Team and Greek Red Cross volunteers. Both fires were contained and extinguished before reaching residential buildings, businesses or public services.
