Kompania Piwowarska opens 230 million PLN warehouse in Poznań
Kompania Piwowarska has launched a new high-bay warehouse at its brewery in Poznań, representing an investment of 230 million PLN. The facility is a central component of the company’s supply chain transformation, aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing logistical operations.
The automated warehouse stands 40 meters tall and offers a total capacity of approximately 58,000 pallet positions. The facility utilizes an ecosystem of roughly 1,000 devices, including 12 automated stacker cranes and a Monorail system capable of transporting up to 552 pallets per hour. The system is designed to expedite shipments, with the ability to dispatch between 440 and 552 pallets per hour.
This investment is intended to shift the distribution model, increasing direct deliveries from the brewery to customers from the current 50 percent to a target of 90 percent. By maintaining larger product stocks directly at the brewery, the company aims to minimize the need for satellite and buffer warehouses, thereby shortening the delivery route and enhancing competitiveness.
