Komárom thermal bath sees 20% increase in summer visitors

The thermal bath in Komárom experienced a significant increase in visitors during the summer months. Between June and August, nearly 41,000 people visited the facility, marking a 20 percent growth compared to the same period last year. August was the busiest month, hosting over 17,000 guests.

This growth is attributed to favorable summer weather and ongoing facility improvements. The operator, Comorra Servis, recently invested 70,000 euros to renovate a pool and expand buffet and service units. Additionally, the roof structure of the main building was reinforced and renovated with approximately 120,000 euros.

A new 900,000 euro investment is currently underway to provide structural reinforcement and a full renovation of the main building, funded by the city of Komárom's own budget. Plans include a complete interior renovation of the wellness section starting in the spring. These developments aim to extend the facility's appeal beyond the summer season. Balneological studies have also indicated that the thermal water composition is similar to the well-known medicinal waters of Bardejov, potentially strengthening the site's role in health tourism.
