Komunalno Mostar hires 14 workers after 22 dismissals
Public enterprise JP Komunalno d.o.o. Mostar announced a recruitment drive for 14 new employees on ten different positions, following the July dismissal of 22 workers for disciplinary reasons. Nine jobs are offered on permanent contracts with a six‑month probation period, while five are temporary contracts lasting up to 12 months. Vacancies include heads of Unit 2 and the Public Cleanliness Department, a payroll and material accounting assistant, a foreman for mechanisation and storage, two construction‑machine operators, a C‑category driver, two construction workers, a green‑area maintenance technician, two manual cleaning staff and two waste‑collection workers. Applicants must be Bosnian citizens, adults, and medically fit, and must submit a résumé, citizenship proof, birth certificate and education/work‑experience documents by 14 August 2026. The first three positions will be assessed through written and oral exams; the remaining roles will involve interviews. The layoffs were contested by the workers’ union, while Mostar mayor Mario Kordić rejected claims of political motivation.
