Konak Municipality Council reconstitutes specialized commissions

The Konak Municipality Council held an extraordinary meeting to fill vacancies in its specialized commissions following recent resignations. The restructuring was conducted in accordance with Article 24 of the Municipal Law No. 5393, which governs the establishment, membership numbers, and working principles of such commissions.

Based on the current council distribution—comprising 19 members from Yeni Parti, 9 from AK Parti, 7 from CHP, and 2 from MHP—the newly formed five-member commissions will consist of three members from Yeni Parti, one from CHP, and one from AK Parti. Simge Tokgöz has been appointed as the Yeni Parti Group Spokesperson for the council.

Mayor Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu expressed her well wishes to the newly appointed commission members for their upcoming work. The reorganized commissions include departments such as Zoning, Planning and Budget, Law, Education, Youth and Sports, Social Services, Trade, Climate Change and Environment, Tourism, Gender Equality, and Urban Renewal.
