Konami and EA Sports release updates for football video games

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced a major update for eFootball, marking the start of a new season for consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Key features include a ‘Custom Tournament’ mode allowing up to eight participants to organize their own competitions, and ‘Fluid Formations’ which enable players to switch between offensive and defensive setups during matches. The update also introduces ‘Dynamic Volley’ mechanics and enhanced animations for player movements, dribbling, and goalkeeping to improve realism.

In separate gaming news, player ratings for the upcoming EA Sports FC 27 have begun to emerge, drawing criticism from Celta de Vigo supporters. Despite the club’s recent success in reaching European semifinals and finishing sixth in La Liga, many player ratings remained stagnant. While Iago Aspas remains the highest-rated player at 81, and Borja Iglesias holds steady at 80, goalkeeper Andrei Radu saw a four-point increase to 78. Fans have expressed disappointment that the virtual ratings do not reflect the team’s improved market value and on-field performance.
