Konami Announces Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Release for 2026

Japanese game developer Konami announced that the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will launch worldwide on 27 August 2026. The anthology brings together remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots – previously limited to PlayStation 3 – and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, alongside additional titles such as Metal Gear: Ghost Babel and a digital soundtrack.

The collection will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (including the upcoming Switch 2), and PC (Steam). A new trailer released at the PlayStation State of Play event highlights both protagonists, Solid Snake and Big Boss, and showcases upgraded graphics and frame‑rate. Pre‑orders that include saved data from the first Master Collection will unlock extra skins for the two Snakes.

Konami framed the release as the end of exclusivity for MG4, allowing fans to experience the final chapter of the series on modern hardware without relying on emulators.
