Konami announces second and third waves of Silent Hill games
Konami is planning a second and third wave of releases for the Silent Hill franchise following the successful launch of its first wave of titles, including Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall.
In an interview with Famitsu, series producer Motoi Okamoto expressed relief at the successful release of the initial projects, noting that the high level of critical acclaim and player engagement has encouraged the company to move forward. Okamoto stated that while specific details cannot yet be shared, the publisher is currently reviewing a variety of projects to ensure the long-term stability of the brand.
Among the upcoming projects, a remake of the original Silent Hill is already in development with Bloober Team. The Polish studio earned this opportunity following the commercial success of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, which reached over five million players. Future titles may also involve external developers, similar to recent collaborations with studios such as NeoBards Entertainment.
