Konami announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX for Nintendo Switch

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX’ is scheduled for release on February 16, 2027. The title will be available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

A remake of the 2008 title ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tag Force 3’, the new game features modernized graphics and enhanced 3D models for characters and monsters. Players can engage in ‘Tag Duels’ alongside over 100 visually upgraded characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime era. The game includes over 3,800 cards, featuring a mix of classic cards and new additions that have since been released in the official trading card game.

Key features include a story mode set during the final stages of the GX anime, new mini-games, and online multiplayer modes such as Casual Duels and Room Matches. A Gallery Mode will also allow players to view story scenes from previous entries in the series. Physical editions are expected to include special physical cards, while digital pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop will provide codes for specific digital cards in ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel’.
