Konami announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX remake

Konami has announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX, a modernized remake of the 2008 PSP title Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3. Revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, the game marks the series’ debut on Nintendo platforms and represents the first North American release of the original GX Tag Force 3.

The gameplay centers on Tag Duels, where players team up with a partner to face off against another duo. In this format, teammates share Life Points, the field, and the Graveyard, requiring players to build decks that complement their partner’s strategy to execute complex combos.

Beyond card battles, the game features elements of school life and relationship building at Duel Academy. A demo showcased at the Tokyo Game Show allowed players to choose from several partners, including Jaden Yuki, and explore the academy through a top-down map to engage in conversations or challenges.
