Konami launches Yu-Gi-Oh! expansion with ultra-rare limited cards

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced the release of ‘Fantastic Monsters’, a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) expansion that celebrates iconic characters and monsters from the franchise's first six anime series. The set features 18 reimagined cards, including legendary monsters such as Dark Magician, Kuriboh, and Stardust Dragon, which receive updated abilities while maintaining their original identities.

A major highlight of this release is the introduction of a highly limited rarity known as ‘Grand Master Rare’. These cards are distinguished by borders decorated with hieroglyphs and unique serial numbers ranging from 001 to 100. Production is strictly limited to 200 copies per card, with 100 copies allocated to the Americas and 100 copies for European markets. These specific Grand Master Rare versions will be available exclusively in English, though they can be found within booster packs distributed in Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the reimagined classics, the expansion includes 20 cards with new illustrations or anime-inspired variants, 10 chibi-style variants, and several new Boss Monsters associated with different special summoning types.
