Konami plans second and third waves of Silent Hill games
Konami producer Motoi Okamoto has announced that the company is planning a ‘second and third wave’ of new Silent Hill projects. This follows the successful release of the franchise’s initial revival wave, which included the Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall.
In an interview with Famitsu, Okamoto expressed relief regarding the positive critical and commercial reception of these titles. He noted that the goal was to establish long-term continuity for the intellectual property rather than relying on a single release, which might have suggested a temporary revival.
While specific details regarding upcoming titles, developers, or release windows have not been disclosed, Okamoto confirmed that several projects are currently being evaluated. The strategy involves continuing to collaborate with various external studios to expand the psychological horror universe.
