Konami releases Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo

Konami has released a playable demo for the upcoming title Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. The demo covers the early stages of the game, and players can carry their progress over to the full version upon its release. Developed in collaboration with Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the game is set in Paris in 1499 and follows Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled to launch on October 15 for PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Producer Tsutomu Taniguchi stated in an interview with Famitsu that the goal is to avoid another long hiatus for the franchise. Noting that the last major entry, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, was released twelve years ago, Taniguchi expressed that while the team is currently focused on this launch, it would be “meaningless” to wait another decade for a follow-up. He noted that the development was driven by a sense of urgency to reconnect the brand's high visibility with its active player base.
