Konami celebrates 40 years of Castlevania with free mobile games and new releases

Konami is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Castlevania franchise with several initiatives. The original 1986 game is available for free download on iOS and Android via the App Store and Google Play through October 24, 2026.

In addition to the free mobile release, Konami has launched significant discounts of up to 80% on various franchise titles across PlayStation and Steam. The promotional period for PlayStation ends on October 7, while Steam discounts continue until October 8.

The anniversary also marks the upcoming release of a new title, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, scheduled for October 15. Developed in collaboration with Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the game features Rose Belmont and is set in 1499 Paris. Musical celebrations are also planned, including the release of the Castlevania Black & Red collection on streaming platforms and orchestral concerts scheduled for London and Los Angeles in 2027.
