Silent Hill: Townfall released on PS5 and PC

Konami Digital Entertainment has released Silent Hill: Townfall on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Developed by the Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive in partnership with Annapurna Interactive, the title marks a significant shift for the franchise as its first full-length entry to utilize a first-person perspective.

Set on the isolated, fog-shrouded island of St. Amelia off the coast of Scotland, the game follows protagonist Simon Ordell. Players must navigate psychological horror through exploration, puzzle-solving, and survival mechanics, including stealth and combat. A key gameplay element is the CRTV, a handheld device used to detect threats and environmental signals.

The game has received positive critical reception, with a Metacritic score of 81 for the PS5 version. While reviews praise the immersive atmosphere and stealth elements, some PC players have reported performance issues, for which developers are preparing an update.
