Konami reveals new titles and renews Bloody Roar trademark

Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. hosted the ‘KONAMI PRESS START’ showcase, revealing several new titles. Highlights included Rhapsody in Scarlet, an action-adventure game set in 1920s New York featuring a combo-based combat system and a jazz-inspired soundtrack. The company also introduced PROJECT ZIRCON, a new deck-building roguelike, and provided gameplay footage for the social network creation game Wai Wai World Craft.

Other featured titles included Silent Hill: Townfall, Rev. NOiR, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and eFootball. Rev. NOiR was showcased through a new story trailer, detailing a world facing a celestial catastrophe known as ‘Lightfall.’

Separately, Konami has drawn attention from long-time fans by renewing the trademark for the Bloody Roar fighting game series in the United States. While trademark renewal does not guarantee a new release, it indicates the company is maintaining its rights to the franchise, which was known for its human-to-animal transformation mechanics.
