Konami develops Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX remake

Konami is developing Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX, a remake of the 2008 title Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tag Force 3. Showcased at TGS2026, the remake features updated 3D visuals and modernized user interfaces while maintaining the core mechanics of the original series.

The game will include over 3,800 cards, approximately 200 of which are new additions designed to support existing GX-era archetypes and provide variety for veteran players without completely overhauling the game with modern mechanics. These additions include Synchromonster support.

Director Yuji Matsumura and Producer Shinnosuke Kida stated that while the current focus is solely on the completion of TAG FORCE GX, the developers are open to future classic Yu-Gi-Oh! RPGs depending on how the community responds to this release.
