Končar-Helb signs first contract with Vetropack Austria
Končar-Helb has signed its first contract with Vetropack Austria to reconstruct and modernize a 110 kV substation at the company’s production facility in Pöchlarn. The project involves upgrading the 110/20 kV electrical power system, modernizing medium-voltage equipment, and constructing new infrastructure to improve power supply reliability and capacity.
In addition to the substation work, the Croatian company is constructing a 20 kV switchgear plant for Vetropack. The project also includes medium-voltage cable connections between the 110 kV and 20 kV facilities. All works are scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
This development follows Končar’s recent acquisition and full integration of Helb, an engineering firm specializing in the design, production, construction, and maintenance of electrical power plants. The partnership aims to strengthen Končar’s presence in the Austrian market through integrated electrical engineering solutions.
