Konatus launches Kakao T mobility service for the vulnerable in Yeongcheon

Mobility platform Konatus has launched its Kakao T-integrated calling service for the transportation vulnerable in Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do. This service provides specialized vehicle calling, such as wheelchair-accessible vehicles, through the existing Kakao T app, eliminating the need for users to install separate applications.

Konatus currently operates similar services in Daejeon and Chungnam. Following the Yeongcheon launch, the company plans to expand its service areas to Gyeongsangnam-do, the Seoul metropolitan area, and other local governments within the year. The solution allows local governments to implement standardized mobility welfare services quickly by integrating with the Kakao T platform rather than building independent systems.

Konatus reported annual revenue exceeding 30 billion KRW last year and achieved a turnaround to profitability in the first quarter of 2026. CEO Kim Ki-dong stated that the service aims to reduce blind spots in mobility welfare by providing consistent convenience to residents regardless of their region.
