Konda Murali denies Congress exit amid family political controversy

Konda Murali, husband of Telangana Minister Konda Surekha, has denied rumors that his family intends to leave the Congress party. The clarification follows controversial remarks made by his daughter, Susmitha Patel, who criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and alleged corruption within the Chief Minister’s family.

Murali met with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy to address ongoing political speculation. While the meeting occurred amidst a disciplinary committee report that reportedly recommended action against Minister Surekha, Murali stated the discussion was not political and was intended to clear a bill.

Murali distanced himself and his wife from Susmitha’s comments, describing them as personal views. Regarding her mention of a ‘Plan A’, Murali remarked, “She spoke according to her Plan-A; I don’t know what her Plan-B is.” He expressed continued confidence in the Congress leadership, specifically naming Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
