Konfederacja faces organizational and ideological hurdles in Poland

The Konfederacja party, led by Krzysztof Bosak and Sławomir Mentzen, is facing internal and structural challenges as it attempts to transition from an anti-system movement to a governing force in Poland. While the party attracts voters disillusioned with the PiS and Koalicja Obywatelskia duopoly, political analysts point to ideological tensions between nationalists and free-market proponents, a lack of executive experience, and organizational immaturity as significant hurdles.

In a recent local development, Konfederacja participated in a referendum process regarding the removal of Kraków Mayor Aleksander Miszalski. Although the party fielded Bartosz Bocheńczak as a candidate for the subsequent mayoral election, the campaign faced setbacks. Unlike candidates from other major parties, Bocheńczak failed to secure the necessary valid signatures required by the State Electoral Commission for registration, highlighting ongoing organizational difficulties within the group.
