Konfederacja politicians protest at Russian Embassy in Warsaw

Sławomir Mentzen and members of the Konfederacja party, including activists from New Hope, held a demonstration in front of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw. The protest took place on September 17 to mark the 87th anniversary of the Soviet Union's aggression against Poland in 1939.

Participants displayed Polish flags and anti-communist banners featuring slogans such as “Katyń pamiętamy” (We remember Katyń) and “Precz z komuną!” (Away with communism!). One banner displayed a crossed-out hammer and sickle. The group also chanted slogans including “A na drzewach zamiast liści będą wisieć komuniści” (And on the trees, instead of leaves, communists will hang).

The demonstration, which was monitored by police, commemorated the Red Army's entry into Poland following the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. The event highlighted the historical memory of the Soviet occupation, including the Katyń massacre.
