Kongju National University students achieve high success in mold engineering certifications

The Department of Digital Convergence Mold Engineering at Kongju National University announced that 19 of its students passed the 2026 second regular technician practical examination organized by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

Of the successful candidates, 10 passed the Press Mold Technician exam and 9 passed the Injection Mold Technician exam. Notably, five students achieved dual certification by passing both exams. The department's performance was significant on a national scale, accounting for 10 out of 14 total successful Press Mold Technicians and 9 out of 10 total successful Injection Mold Technicians nationwide.

The department attributed this success to the RISE project's support, specifically the summer field-customized press and injection mold design competency enhancement course. The curriculum includes specialized tracks where students choose between press or injection mold studies starting in their third year to receive industry-tailored theoretical and practical training.
