Kongsberg Gruppen reports 50% revenue increase in Q3
Defense group Kongsberg Gruppen reported a strong third quarter for 2026, with revenues reaching 11.3 billion NOK, a 50% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's operating profit (EBITDA) rose to 2.28 billion NOK, representing a 20.2% margin, while operating profit increased by 66% to 1.86 billion NOK.
New orders for the quarter totaled 23.3 billion NOK, contributing to a record-high order backlog of 174.2 billion NOK. CEO Eirik Lie noted that high interest in the company's missiles, air defense systems, and remote weapon stations provides a solid foundation for growth. The company is working toward a long-term goal of quadrupling revenue to 100 billion NOK by 2029 and reaching 150 billion NOK by 2033.
Recent large-scale defense investments, particularly in Europe, have driven these results. Kongsberg Gruppen produces key technologies including the NASAMS air defense system, the Joint Strike Missile (JSM), and the Naval Strike Missile (NSM).
