Kongsberg Maritime secures multiple offshore technology contracts

Kongsberg Maritime has secured two significant contracts to provide advanced technology and machinery for offshore energy operations.

In the first agreement, the company will supply a fully integrated suite of equipment for a new multi-purpose deepwater installation and construction vessel to be owned and operated by Solstad Offshore and SBM Offshore. The vessel, which is slated for construction in China, will feature advanced mooring installation, subsea construction capabilities, and a comprehensive power and energy package including battery energy storage systems.

In a separate contract, Kongsberg Maritime will deliver a mooring and deck machinery solution for a new Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel for an offshore development in Asia. This project includes chain pull-in winches, stoppers, and riser pull-in winches, with delivery expected by mid-2027. While Kongsberg Maritime manages the automation and project execution, IP Huse will handle the mechanical design and manufacturing of components in Norway.
