Konica Minolta CEO joins UN Private Sector Forum in New York

Konica Minolta President and CEO Toshimitsu Taiko participated in the 2026 United Nations Private Sector Forum held in New York City on September 20. The high-level meeting, organized by the United Nations Global Compact, brought together approximately 150 leaders from the corporate, governmental, and UN sectors to discuss solutions for global challenges.

Discussions at the forum focused on accelerating climate action through the transition to clean energy, expanding necessary investments, and strengthening public-private partnerships to advance decarbonization and sustainable development. Taiko specifically engaged in dialogues regarding making energy-transition projects in emerging and developing markets more attractive and accessible to investment. He emphasized the need for a common framework to evaluate individual company contributions throughout the value chain, particularly when considering the specific realities of developing nations.
