Konica Minolta Planetarium to host Halloween themed events in Japan
Konica Minolta Planetarium will host the ‘Halloween Welcome Dome’ event across five of its facilities in Japan, including locations in Yurakucho, Yokohama, Ikebukuro, Oshiage, and Nagoya. Running from September 17, 2026, to October 31, 2026, the event features special welcome videos played for 5 to 10 minutes before the main planetarium programs.
The themed videos, which allow for photography, aim to create a festive atmosphere with imagery of floating lanterns, flickering candles, and a ‘secret forest Halloween party’ set against a starry sky.
A featured program during this period is ‘Nagareboshi o Sagashite feat. BUMP OF CHICKEN,’ which explores the mechanics of meteor showers and the universe through music and narration by voice actor Daiki Yamashita.
