Konjen Tiongkok Cup Mobile 2026 esports tournament concludes in Surabaya

The inaugural Konjen Tiongkok Cup Mobile 2026 esports tournament concluded on August 30, 2026, at the Oval Atrium of Ciputra World Surabaya. The competition, centered on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, was organized through a collaboration between the Consulate General of China in Surabaya, Harian Disway, and PW GP Ansor East Java.

Ateng Family emerged as the champion after defeating Ugar Goat Team with a 3-0 score in the final match. As a reward for their achievement, five top gamers from the winning team will receive the opportunity to visit China. The event attracted over 500 live spectators and reached a cumulative online audience of more than 10,000 across platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Rednote.

Ye Su, the Chinese Consul General in Surabaya, highlighted esports as a vital bridge for cultural exchange and youth engagement in the digital economy. Beyond the gaming competition, the event featured Chinese culinary tastings and food carving art exhibitions to promote cultural understanding. The initiative aims to foster cooperation between Indonesian and Chinese youth in sectors including education, sports, and culture.
