Konspirasi film planned for special edition theatrical re-release
Elepfilm Entertainment Sdn Bhd is planning a special edition re-release of the Malaysian film ‘Konspirasi’ in cinemas. The production company aims to bring the film back to audiences following its initial run, which was terminated on May 28.
Executive Producer Jack Yeoh stated that a target date for the re-release has been set, with an official announcement expected soon. The project is subject to the approval and guidelines of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS). The producers noted that the initiative follows requests from fans and viewers.
In addition to a theatrical re-release, the production team plans to expand the film’s reach to international markets, including Taiwan and South Korea, as well as increasing its availability on digital streaming platforms. Lead actor Adi Putra emphasized that while the film contains sensational elements, its core message regarding corruption and bribery remains its primary focus and is relevant on a global scale.
The film, a co-production between Elepfilm Entertainment and Asia Tropical Films, follows an elite team uncovering a list of corrupt politicians. The company clarified that the previous termination of the film's run was due to internal company considerations rather than marketing strategies.
