Konstantin Kisimov Theatre begins national tour of ‘Dracula’ musical

The Konstantin Kisimov Musical-Drama Theatre from Veliko Tarnovo has launched a national summer tour featuring the Broadway musical ‘Dracula’. Following a performance in Varna, the production is scheduled to visit Burgas on August 12, Plovdiv on September 3, and Sofia on September 28 at the National Palace of Culture.

Composed by Frank Wildhorn and based on Bram Stoker’s novel, the production is the only one of its kind currently being presented to the Bulgarian public. The cast includes opera singers Nikola Ivanov and Branimir Nedkov as Count Dracula, singer Hristiyana Loizu and actress Mihaela Goncheva as Mina Murray, and Victor Ibrishimov as Professor Abraham Van Helsing.

Directed by Petko Bonev and conducted by Georgi Patrikov, the musical is performed with the cooperation of Music Theatre International.
