Konstantin Papazov faces allegations of aggression and referee interference

Konstantin Papazov, President of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation, is at the center of a scandal following a match between Levski and Shumen. Spartak Pleven has issued a sharp condemnation of Papazov, accusing him of aggressive and uncontrollable behavior.

The club reported that Papazov confronted Orlin Nikolov, a national referee instructor and member of the Federation's Governing Board, in the corridor of the Triaditsa hall. Spartak Pleven also alleged that Papazov has attempted to interfere directly in referee appointments and disciplinary decisions.

According to the club, this follows previous incidents of verbal aggression and the destruction of a referee's mobile phone during a match between Levski and Balkan. The club expressed deep concern regarding the management methods being employed within Bulgarian basketball.
