Konstantinos Kyranakis details Greek family and economic support measures

Konstantinos Kyranakis, Deputy Minister of Transport and Secretary of the New Democracy Political Committee, has detailed several government economic measures aimed at supporting families and professionals. Key initiatives include a specialized savings account for children that opens at birth, where the state contributes 1,200 euros and parents can add up to 1,200 euros annually.

Further family-oriented policies include the tax equalization of families with three children with those having more, zero income tax for families with three or more children, and an additional 1,000 euro boost for very large families. Kyranakis also noted the commitment to gradually increasing the minimum wage to 1,000 euros by 2028.

Regarding business support, the government plans to gradually reduce tax prepayments for companies from 80% to 50% and abolish certain criteria for freelancers. Addressing internal party matters, Kyranakis dismissed criticisms from former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras as ‘unfair’ and expressed confidence in the unity of the New Democracy party.
