Bavarian lakes and Konstanz beach baths highlight summer tourism

Holidaycheck has released a ranking of the best lakes in Bavaria for the summer season. The Chiemsee holds the top position, followed by Ammersee in second place. Ammersee is highlighted as an ideal destination for families due to its shallow waters, which provide increased safety and playability for children. It is also noted as a training ground for young sailors and offers various activities including minigolf and steamship tours.

In Konstanz, the swimming season at the local beach baths is underway, running from May 11 to September 7. These free-access locations, including Wallhausen, Dingelsdorf, Litzelstetten, and the Hörnle area, offer direct access to Lake Constance along with various gastronomic options and water sports. The Wallhausen beach area is specifically noted for its sand, providing a southern atmosphere for visitors.
