Konstanz opens new Asisi 360-degree panorama landmark

A new 360-degree panorama titled ‘Konstanz 1414-1418’ is set to open in Konstanz, Germany, featuring the work of artist Yadegar Asisi. The installation is housed within a 52-meter-high cylindrical wood-hybrid tower located near the city's industrial area.

The artwork depicts the city during the period of the Council of Constance, utilizing a 3,500-square-meter polyester image that incorporates light, music, and a day-to-night cycle. Visitors can view the detailed historical scenes from a central tower at various heights.

While intended to serve as a significant cultural landmark and tourist attraction, the structure has drawn mixed reactions regarding its aesthetic impact on the cityscape. The facility is designed to operate using geothermal energy for heating and cooling.
