Konstanz rolls out September food tours, workshops and new restaurant openings

In September, Konstanz offers a series of cultural and culinary experiences. Visitors can join a wine tour of the historic Niederburg district led by wine‑expert Andreas Fritz, enjoy a tasting in his traditional cellar, and attend a pastry workshop at Patisserie Eugens where participants create French‑style tarts. The "Türme & Fasnacht" program guides guests through the city’s medieval towers and carnival museum, highlighting local traditions.

Earlier in July, the region saw several new gastronomy ventures. Yasmin Zottmann and Miguel Orellana opened Atelier Cacao, a chocolate shop in the Zollernstraße that brings Ecuadorian recipes to the Bodensee. The King Schultz Bar refreshed its cocktail menu with a zero‑waste approach, crafting many ingredients in‑house. New eateries also debuted: Old Joe’s BBQ in Stockach serves American‑style burgers and grills, while the Mediterranean restaurant Lura opened in Wehr‑Öflingen. Renovation work continues at the Forelle inn in Groppertal, delaying its reopening.
