KONVENT announces new album ‘Firesky’

Danish black/doom metal quartet KONVENT has announced the release of their third studio album, titled ‘Firesky’, scheduled for release on November 6 via Napalm Records. The album features five tracks that are notably longer than the band's previous works, incorporating significant experimentation with black metal influences.

The band has released the opening track, ‘Exorcise’, as the first single. The group stated that the song reflects a sense of suffocation regarding global legislative trends they describe as sexist and transphobic. According to the band, ‘Firesky’ is their most ambitious project to date, addressing political situations and the protection of fundamental rights for women and LGBTQ individuals through its lyrical content.
