Konya and Gaziantep face planned electricity outages for grid maintenance

Major planned electricity outages are scheduled across parts of Turkey, specifically in Konya and Gaziantep, to facilitate grid maintenance and infrastructure upgrades ahead of the winter season.

In Konya, Meram Elektrik Dağıtım A. Ş. has announced a three-day maintenance program starting October 11. The work involves modernizing transformer stations, renewing worn transmission lines, and moving overhead lines underground. The outages will primarily affect the central districts of Selçuklu, Meram, and Karatay, with scheduled interruptions occurring daily between 09:00 and 17:00.

In Gaziantep, Toroslar EDAŞ is conducting similar network renewal and transformer maintenance. The outages affect several districts, including Şahinbey, Şehitkamil, İslahiye, Nizip, Nurdağı, Oğuzeli, and Yavuzeli. Depending on the specific area, power is expected to be restored between 15:00 and 17:00. Residents can monitor real-time updates via the official EDAŞ website or the 186 fault line.
