Konya announces night-time road maintenance on Ankara Avenue

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced temporary traffic arrangements on Ankara Avenue due to scheduled road construction and maintenance works.

The project, aimed at improving road quality and strengthening transportation infrastructure, will take place near the Taş Bina area in the direction of Alaaddin Boulevard. The works are scheduled for the night period between September 18 and 19, 2026, specifically between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 to minimize impact on city traffic.

While the route will not be completely closed, lane restrictions will be implemented, resulting in narrowed traffic flow. Authorities have advised drivers to reduce speeds, strictly follow traffic signs, and consider alternative routes, particularly those traveling toward Alaaddin, to avoid congestion and potential risks.
