Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi launches hiring drives for 40 municipal police officers and 45 tram drivers

The Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi is conducting two separate recruitment campaigns. One targets 40 municipal police (zabıta) officers; applications must be submitted by the end of the working day on 4 June. Candidates must meet the KPSS score threshold, be under 30 years of age, hold a B‑class driver’s licence, and possess a relevant university degree or associate degree in fields such as public security, law enforcement, or security management. Applicants are required to deliver documents in person and will undergo height‑weight measurement before written and practical exams.

A second campaign seeks to fill 45 temporary tram driver (vatman) positions for the municipality’s subsidiary Konya Şehir Hizmetleri A.Ş. The hiring notice, posted on the public employment portal İşKUR, specifies that the roles are open to male candidates only. Applications open on 2 June and close on 3 June, and must be submitted online through the municipality’s recruitment system. Selected candidates will be employed on a short‑term basis to support the city’s expanding rail‑based transport network.
