Selçuk Öztürk, Chairman of the Konya Chamber of Commerce, reported that Konya's economy has outperformed the Turkish national average across several key indicators over the last 15 years.

During the final assembly meeting for the 2022-2026 term, economic data revealed that Konya's GDP grew from 28 billion TL to 951 billion TL between 2011 and 2024. This represents a 34-fold increase, surpassing Turkey's national growth of approximately 31.8-fold.

In terms of international trade, Konya's exports tripled to 3.52 billion dollars between 2011 and 2025, raising the city's share of total Turkish exports from 0.87% to 1.3%. Additionally, the number of workplaces in Konya grew by 76.4% from 2011 to the first half of 2026, exceeding the national increase of 63.8%.
