Konya gas station robbery case reaches court decision

A court has reached a decision regarding an armed robbery at a gas station in the Ereğli district of Konya. On January 21, two masked individuals armed with weapons threatened employees and stole 13,938 TL and a mobile phone.

Police investigations, which included reviewing security footage, led to the detention of four suspects. One of the suspects, Ahmet Yunus G., was reportedly known locally for providing charms and magic services for money. Following the investigation, Ahmet Yunus G. and İbrahim K. were arrested, while two others were released.

In court, İbrahim K. testified that the robbery was planned a day in advance at the suggestion of Ahmet Yunus G. He stated that Ahmet Yunus G. pointed weapons at the staff while he took the money. Prosecutors are seeking up to 30 years in prison for Ahmet Yunus G., İbrahim K., and A. K. for qualified robbery.
