Konya hosts major science, culture, and international youth events
Konya is hosting several major cultural, educational, and scientific events. The 11th Konya Science Festival (BilimFest) attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors, featuring exhibits from defense giants like ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, and BAYKAR, alongside aerospace and AI demonstrations. TÜBİTAK also participated with various interactive workshops and science shows.
In addition to the science festival, the city is hosting the 5th Publishing Summer School, a collaborative program between the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Necmettin Erbakan University, focusing on the theme of ‘Cultural Publishing’.
Other significant gatherings include the 2nd Islamic Scouts Friendship Camp, bringing together approximately 2,000 scouts from 16 different countries, and the 5th International Rihla Program, which features academics and scholars from various Islamic regions discussing topics such as economics in Islam.
