Turkish municipalities launch new social and educational programs

Various Turkish municipalities are launching new social, educational, and civic programs for the 2026-2027 period.

In Kahramanmaraş, the Metropolitan Municipality is providing assistive technologies, such as lighted doorbells and vibrating baby monitors, to support hearing-impaired residents. Additionally, the Mehmet Arıkan Youth Center is offering study spaces and resources for students preparing for national exams like LGS, YKS, and KPSS.

In Ankara, the Metropolitan Municipality has opened applications for the 31st term of the Ankara Children's Assembly, allowing students aged 9-14 to participate in local decision-making processes. Meanwhile, Keçiören Municipality has begun registrations for its KEÇMEK vocational and arts courses, offering 52 different branches across 13 centers.

In Konya, the KOMEK and ASEM vocational training programs have opened registrations for the autumn term. The program offers 315 different branches, including artificial intelligence, robotics, and traditional arts, with applications being accepted online until October 6, 2026.
