Konya KONYARAY suburban line construction progresses

Construction is advancing on the first stage of the KONYARAY suburban line, a joint project between the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Konya Metropolitan Municipality. The initial 23 kilometer section spans from Konya Gar to Aşağıpınarbaşı.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay announced that structural reinforcements have been completed at the Lamcı underpass to ensure the safety and load-bearing capacity required for the suburban trains. The reinforcement involved removing 12 old beams and replacing them with new beams measuring 160 centimeters in height, 105 centimeters in width, and 24 meters in length. Additionally, the production of 24 new fore piles has been completed to increase the structural security of the underpass.
