Konya launches digital memorial for Turkey's July 15 coup resistance

A new interactive museum in Konya, called the 15 July Digital Experience Center, opened to preserve the memory of the failed coup attempt of 15 July 2016. The center combines historical newspaper front pages, a chronological “Memory Zone” with photos, text and video, and a three‑minute VR experience that lets visitors relive the night in 360 degrees. Interactive sections such as the “People’s Resolve” and “Victory Zone” highlight the collective resistance and portray the event as a triumph for democracy. The exhibit also includes a replica of the martyrs’ monument with bronze figures and a space for visitors to record personal reflections. The center is open to the public from 10:00 to 18:00 between 11 – 15 July.
