Konya: Mass sheep deaths reported in Kulu district

In the Kulu district of Konya, dozens of sheep from a flock of approximately 400 small ruminants died suddenly while grazing in the Kozanlı neighborhood. According to reports, 38 sheep died, while 12 others were saved following veterinary intervention.

Local authorities have launched an investigation, and carcasses have been sent to Konya for autopsies to determine the exact cause of death, with poisoning suspected. Additionally, the Kulu Municipality has temporarily closed the local live animal market to protect livestock from foot-and-mouth disease reported in surrounding areas.
