Konya Metropolitan Municipality completes second Vefa Umresi pilgrimage

The second group of participants in the ‘Vefa Umresi’ project has returned to Konya following a nine-day spiritual journey to the holy lands. Organized by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the project is designed to provide Umrah pilgrimage opportunities to elderly citizens and veterans who have not previously had the chance to travel.

During the trip, the group spent six days in Mecca and three days in Medina. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the project is a meaningful reflection of loyalty to elders and veterans who have made significant sacrifices for the country. Upon their return, the pilgrims were met at the airport by their families and relatives.
